New NMS Engineering & Flow Programme
Formulation of the Engineering and Flow Programme now takes place on a continuous basis and new projects are approved annually. Formulation for new projects, to be included from October 2009, is now underway. The following topics have been formulated to date -
- "Characterisation of the physical properties of bio-fuels, syn-fuels and high viscosity oils"
- "Complex flow characterisation"
- "Experimental Evaluation of look-down Ultrasonic level guages"
- "Enhancement of the national oil flow standards to include oils up to 1500 cSt"
- "Coriolis metering of multiphase flows"
- "Deriving fluid properties from ultrasonic Flow Meter data"
- "Measurement Solutions for Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) Regulation"
- "The application of Flow Meter diagnostics to determine shifts in calibration"
- "Flow Meter Installation Errors and Flow Conditioning in High Viscosity Fluids"
- "Sampling complex fluid flows"
One-page summaries of the rationale, needs, benefits and impact of these topic areas are available by clicking the links above. Further proposals are being prepared, based on feedback from industry and DIUS priorities.
Your comments on the above proposals are welcome and will be reviewed in April. Please send your comments to flow@tuvnel.com.
If you or your company have any additional flow measurement issues that could be addressed in the Programme, please submit them here.
